Our Hawks

The hawks used by the Company are produced in our own breeding facility. The young hawks are carefully selected, and those suited are trained by Company personnel, using techniques developed and refined by us over many years.

Our hawks are used solely for bird control, as only hawks trained and used exclusively in this way should ever be introduced to the conditions required for bird control duties. Hawks trained and used for falconry can, and inevitably do, cause severe problems when used in an attempt to disperse pest birds.

As part of their training, our hawks are accustomed to flying in urban and working environments. This ensures they are not frightened or stressed by the presence of people, vehicles or machinery, thus allowing the hawks to do their job efficiently.

Our hawks are housed in spacious, clean, airy enclosures, and to ensure they are fit enough to do their job, they are exercised on a daily basis. In their enclosure, the hawks have constant access to water and shelter, along with various environmental and behavioural enrichment devices.

The hawks are fed a varied, top-quality diet, and are regularly examined by our operatives and the company vet.

Our hawks are transported, via specially adapted vehicles, in suitable transport boxes. These boxes are designed and built to ensure the safety, wellbeing and comfort of our hawks while being transported from base to clients’ premises. All our operatives hold an Animal Transport Certificate, and comply with all UK and European animal transport regulations.
