The Bird Control Company

Mess on the ground caused by pigeons

It is all too easy for some species of birds to become pests, causing damage to property, business and health. In particular, pigeons ( Columba livia ) and many species of gull, including the huge herring gull ( Larus argentatus ), can become serious pests for both urban and rural locations.

The UK government estimates that it costs over £15 billion each year to repair damage, clean up and dispose of the faeces of feral pigeons, with the necessary work in Trafalgar Square alone costing almost £100,000 pa.

In addition, the presence of feral pigeons, and most especially their faeces, represents a potential health hazard to employees and to the general public, costing the NHS and businesses billions in health care, sick pay and lost production.

Pest birds can result in increased building and maintenance costs, accidents to staff and visitors, and illness in staff leading to lost working days.

Our hawks are bred for use in bird control

Based in the Derbyshire Peak District, the Company operates throughout the Midlands area of England, i.e. Cheshire, Derbyshire, Greater Manchester, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire and Yorkshire.  We use natural environmental and non-lethal controls to ensure that pest birds are moved away from your site, and cease to be a problem to you and your business.

To solve your pest bird issues, we use specially bred and trained birds of prey (falcons and hawks), in conjunction with other environmentally friendly strategies in Integrated Avian Pest Management (IAPM) programmes.
